Tips to Look Taller

Many people were not blessed with the right height so they lack self-confidence. In some cases it is just a psychological problem that a person considers himself as too short.

If it is not your case there are some techniques that can help you look taller visually instead of really becoming taller, that is possible either though rather complicated. Some designer clothing are fitted perfectly for taller person. Here are just a few things you should keep in mind when you wish to look taller so you can wear your desired designer clothes.

Posture

Good posture provides many physical and psychological benefits. It is an important component for back health and height increase.

Good posture helps maximize your height not just because of the obvious reason that you are sitting and standing tall rather than slouching and slumping, but for other structural and physiological reasons as well.

You can correct posture by ensuring that you always sit with your back against a chair’s support and being conscious of the fact that you will need to keep a correct posture at all times.

Good standing posture is achieved by leaning against a wall. Keep your head, shoulder blades, buttocks and heels in contact with the wall.

At the same time, use your muscles to pull back your neck, waist and knees to minimize the space between your body and the wall.

There should be only slight gaps. This practice can help you straighten up and give the impression that you look taller than you actually are.

Appearance

By cleverly organizing the visual elements of clothes, their design, your hairstyle and even accessories you can change the way your body is perceived to the better and make yourself look taller.

Hair style

Wear your hair in the way it makes you appear taller. A hair style for you should be thin at the sides and higher up at the top, which can make you look as much as an inch taller. You should also avoid wide hair style.

Old School Fashion

Fashion trend from the 1970s through 1980s, and that is the old school fashion. Our fashion conscious young adults and teens are the source for bringing back Old School Fashion. That is why some designer clothes based their design from old school. Some you might say thank goodness for that and yet others would say bring our history of fashions back for another run.

While fashions of today are definitely more of a combination of function while pleasing to the eye, some would think it's due to progress made in the area of fashion, and would not dare look back to our past. Reality has a way of denying what we all think. But whether you are pleased to see it happen or otherwise, we will be and are experiencing a revival of the popular fashion styles from our past. And so you see, the fashion styles of old have a way of coming back.

The media was the spark that started the fire that brought this comeback. But where is the fuel? I suppose the truth of the matter would be that some of us like the old school fashion. It helps us reconnect with a past which was not nearly as complicated. I believe this to be the reason why it continues to resurface because each time it does we find that we actually liked it.

As this happens it becomes quite popular and even sexy. Let's face it; old school fashion was designed to show off the human body. Everything was fitted, shirts, pants, not to mention cool patterns and designs and fabrics, these are the trademarks of our past, a past which young people of today have not experienced. Most of us think old school fashion to be very cool, especially with today's technology and comfortable fabrics, these designs can showy and casual at the same time.

Old School Fashion can be the best way to reconnect to the past. Make sure that this fashion will suit to you and help you to express your feelings.

Top Fashion Mistakes

To look great is what we all wanted when it comes to fashion and trends. No matter how trendy and beautiful your designer clothes are, if you do not wear them right it can ruin your looks. Unfortunately, there are some fashion errors that we might not be aware of, but that we might practice.

1. Wearing oversized clothing.

Now there is the wrong oversized clothing and the right over-sized clothing. Which looks fabulous paired with a tighter fitting top and a high waist belt. Wrong over-sized clothing is just plain wrong: huge knee-reaching t-shirts, baggy pants, you get the point. Make sure you buy clothes that fit you properly.

2. Wearing red and green at the same time.

Red and green are two of the colors that you absolutely must avoid wearing together. These colors really oppose each other, so just stay clear. Also, it’s best to stay away from green and red makeup.

3. Dirty shoes.

Make sure to keep your shoes in style, according to your outfit, and most importantly, clean!

4. Short skirt and short top.

Don’t wear a short top with your mini. Instead, wear a miniskirt and pair it with a tee that reaches your hip bones. Play it up with a wide belt. If you’re into short tops, just wear jeans and steer away from short skirts.

5. Bulky shoes with feminine dress.

A very feminine dress should never be paired with bulky shoes such as thick platforms. This kind of dress deserves a pair of soft, delicate shoes. Anything with a small heel, and even wedges and espadrilles.

6. Too much jewelry.

A thin, fine necklace and a pair of earrings is enough. Or if you decide for a pair of big, adorned earrings, keep it simple by wearing a few rings or a bracelet or two with that, but stay

7. Wearing fashion that doesn’t suit you.

If miniskirts are in, and you don’t have the greatest legs, that’s fine! You don’t have to abide by each and every single fashion trend that comes out. If something that suit your body type, it’s better to stay away from it. After all, most of us aren’t models and a lot of the fashion trends that spring up don’t suit everybody, so be careful what you choose.

8. More than one pattern.

If you have flowers on your shirt, don’t wear plaid pants, or the other way around. Try to stick with one pattern in your outfit. A pair of plaid pants with a solid colored top, or a floral shirt with a pair of jeans. Don’t crowd your outfit with patterns. Keep it sweet and simple.

9. Tights are not for everyone.

As I’ve mentioned before, not all fashion trends work for everyone. Some people should stay away from certain trends. Trends like tights for example. You know they stick to your skin and show off your legs, so if you don’t have shapely legs, don’t wear them please. I know they’re in, but if they make you look bad, avoid them I see so many women wearing tights with over-sized shirts,it absolutely amazes me. But try to avoid this very common mistake for your own good.

10. Panty lines.

Need I say more? If you’re going to wear thin, clingy, or even white pants, be aware of it and don’t walk out with embarrassing panty lines, but opt for a thong.

11. An orange tan.

Let’s face it: you know that it’s orange, you just don’t want to admit it. Stay away from cheap self-tanners because they will bring you nothing but trouble. Instead, shell out some money for a better product such as Estee Lauder sunless and make sure you always exfoliate before applying self-tanner.

12. Sneakers with everything.

Sure, we all want to be comfortable in our shoes, but it’s not recommended to always wear sneakers with everything from skirts, to jeans, to capris. A lot of people like to wear sneakers with a denim skirt, and that’s completely fine, as long as you don’t do it all the time. It’s a comfy, sporty look, but you can make it classy and sexy. Instead, wear a pair of wedges or high heels. Don’t always pair your jeans with sneakers: it’s boring, and it’s tasteless. Spice up your outfit with a pair of hot stilettos.

Now that you already know the common mistakes, come on out and be stylish!

Tips to Fit a Dress Shirt

Unfitted clothes destroys the beauty of a good dress shirt and any designer clothing. Men should learn these few tips to get the appropriate mens dress fit to avoid fitting blunders.

An ideal fit for dress shirt should display a smart and trendy appearance for the man. For a formal event, mens dress shirt should provide a ceremonial effect that suits the occasion. If you intend to create dressy attire, fitting in different parts of the suits should still be suited to give you that dressy feel.

Collar Fit

Most men buy dress shirts with too wide collars. Collars ought to be snug around the neck. Snug means that it should not squeeze or give you a choking feeling especially when you bend your head down to touch your chin to your chest. There should be just enough room for your head to move around the neck.

Other way to find out the tightness of a collar is by slipping two fingers between the buttoned collar and the neck. The two fingers should fit comfortably, and this additional space gives room for possible shrinkage after a few washing of the dress shirt.

Sleeves and Cuffs Fit

There are two lengths of dress shirts in every collar size to accommodate a wider range of arm length in men. Men wearing dress shirts with improper sleeve lengths can actually make a man look funny.

So to achieve a good fit for your sleeve, it is important to check the sleeve length. Proper measurement should run the tape from the center of the back of your collar to the top of your shoulders then down to the arms and the wrist bone.

The proper way of fitting mens dress shirt is to keep your arms on your side and make sure that the cuff ends are slightly further down the wrist bone without gathering to much fabric at the cuffs. Armholes should float over your armpit rather than a tight snug.

Cuff circumference should not allow your hands to slip in without unfastening the cuff buttons. This applies both for barrel and French cuffs. Bespoke dress shirts should have room for a wristwatch and should not fit too tight or snug.

Torso Fit

Most importantly, a good fit in mens dress shirt should be full but will not cause the front panels to gape open when you sit down. This only shows that the fit around the torso is too small.

The seam that connects the yoke and sleeve should rest just where your shoulders end. If it drapes over it, then the shirt is over sized for you.

And lastly, the tail length should fall just around your crotch are. It should never pull out of the trousers whenever you raise your arms or when you sit down. Proper tug-in is important to prevent looking sloppy and untidy.

Hair Style Personality

One of the important part of your personality is your hair styles. Not only your designer clothing, jewelry but your hair style also tells what the personality you have as the right hair style reflects your best qualities.

Rules in Layering

Have you noticed a common trend in designer clothing? Most everyone is in this trend called layering. It is a great way to combine your favorite pieces and wear something comfortable and flexible, while showing off your sense of style. It's also very practical, but before you jump on the layering trend, there are some basic guidelines you must consider. You can start with the following seven rules to layering properly.

Rule1: Thinner clothes first

Make sure to start with items that are made from thinner fabrics such as a cotton T-shirt, dress shirt or turtleneck, and then layer them with heavier items such as a wool sweater, a corduroy blazer, or a leather jacket.

Rule 2: Define the layer

A layer is essentially any item that can be worn on its own and look great. In other words, wearing a tacky wife beater underneath a stylish dress shirt does not qualify as cool layering.

Rule 3: Keep it casual

Layering is best used for casual occasions and is generally not appropriate in more formal settings. Keep in mind, however, that a layered combo can include one or more classy pieces, such as a tailored blazer and a fine dress shirt.

Rule 4: Always feel comfortable

Don't wear anything that feels uncomfortable. With that in mind, if you can't move normally then your layering combination is most likely too thick and therefore, far from trendy.

Rule 5: Mix in some color

Be fearless and don't hesitate to spice up your look with a little color. Remember that combine it properly.

Rule 6: Layering is practical

Prefer wearing two or three thinner layers of clothing rather than one thick one.

Rule 7: Jacket not required

Last but not least, remember that layering must not necessarily include jacket.

Now that you're informed with the rules layering, it is all up to you to put them into practice.

Fashion and Masculinity

Fashion is about showing off your best physical features. The trick is to retain as much of your masculinity as possible. You’ll have to take your time and determine the right look for your lifestyle and your personality, while maintaining as much of yourself as you can along the way. That said, here are our tips for how to balance fashion and masculinity.

Find your own style

You’ll need to determine which style is best for you. Consider your age, profession and outlook. Taking your personal style up one level, regardless of trends, will gain you more respect and attention from those worth courting. And once you’ve found your personal style, stay with it and build a wardrobe around this theme.

Shop with a female companion

Shopping with a woman who knows you and has a sense of how other women perceive you is one of the most advisable experiences you’ll ever have in a men’s designer clothing. A female shopping partner will tell you all of the current trends and help you find fabrics, patterns and colors that other women like. Also, she will insist on items that emphasize the very masculine features you have. Best of all, when women notice your clothes and admire them on you, other men take note of the attention you get, which heightens your own sense of masculinity.

Keep your fashion interest to yourself

The exploration and discovery of your own style should not be done by yourself. Based on your preferences and lifestyle. Telling another man that you like his wardrobe is acceptable almost anywhere, but asking for the brand name or store should really be done with only the closest of friends.

The need to express ourselves through relaxed, casual clothing grew the notion that dressing well meant giving up your masculinity. Dressing down actually emasculates you and prevents you from living a full life.
